Sean P. Franciscus is the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at American Tire Distributors (ATD), where he oversees execution of the company’s overall business strategy, while driving efficiency in the company’s day-to-day operations.
Franciscus is a seasoned professional with 35 years of experience in the automotive services and aftermarket industry. He has a strong track record of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and driving growth in both retail and wholesale channels. Sean fosters a high-performance culture and aligns teams to achieve business objectives while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to position companies for lasting and sustainable growth.

Prior to ATD, Sean served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Max Finkelstein, Inc. (MFI) from 2016-2021 where he collaborated closely with the President & CEO to define the company's strategic vision, leading to record growth in sales, profits, and shareholder value. Franciscus’ efforts included enhancing organizational structure, expanding into new markets, and forming strategic partnerships, such as the creation of Tire Distributors of the Americas, LLC. In addition to MFI, Sean held leadership roles at U.S AutoForce, Mavis Discount Tire and Somerset Tire Service, Inc., where he contributed significantly to the growth and success of each company.
Sean has extensive experience in implementing technology solutions to modernize operations and improve efficiency. His experience and success in creating organizational effectiveness will accelerate ATD's commitment to being the leading tire distributor in the country.
Sean holds an Associate of Science degree in Business Management from Middlesex College.
