The event calendar has been full. At American Tire Distributors (ATD) our associates are valued and work in a fun while productive hybrid atmosphere. We celebrate and come together throughout the year to celebrate many occasions. Your wellbeing is among ATD’s highest priorities, and that is reflected in the benefits we offer to empower our associates and enrich their lives. We regularly sponsor events and initiatives, held at our Huntersville Field Support Center along with in our 120 Distribution Centers, Mixing Centers and Regional Distribution Center locations, to support our mental health and physical wellness to keep you feeling your best. We have hosted over 15 different events, with the added fellowship and social benefit for our associates.
Blood Drive
Did you know: Donating blood has been linked to lower blood pressure and a reduced risk of heart attacks? You can even burn up to 600 calories by donating blood. In January, we hosted a blood drive at our Field Support Center with the American Red Cross. A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing associates who donated. We're proud to announce that thanks to the selfless donations of our various team members, our blood drive has helped save 156 lives. Our field associates across the country continued to donate blood through February, and together, we're saving lives and spreading hope. Be a hero and donate blood at a location near you.
Super Bowl Celebrations
As Super Bowl fever swept the nation, our Sacramento, San Jose, Kansas City, Wichita, and Springfield associates cheered on their local teams with a pre-game celebration at their Distribution Center. Associates came together to show their team spirit, enjoy some food, and gear up for the big game.
Black History Month
In celebration of Black History Month, we held a lunch at our FSC that featured art from local black artists. Associates came together to experience the gallery and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to bring a piece home. All proceeds are going to HBC Heroes, an organization that assists diverse students. Our field locations hosted their own art galleries throughout the month.
Associate Appreciation Week
AppreciATD Spirit Week is our favorite week of the year! This week, we share our love and appreciation for all 5,000 ATD team members across the United States. The most rewarding part of our business is our people. Come join our team and contribute to the future of the automotive industry.
Each day of the week had a theme: Monday Funday, were associates were encouraged to wear their favorite sports team swag, play games and fill out a March Madness Bracket. Tuesday is trivia and grab swag day. March is women's History Month, and we celebrated the women of ATD who represent what it means to #DriveLikeaGirl and thrive and drive in their careers into the future. At the FSC, peers were invited to a Leadership Panel hosted by Rebecca Sinclair. Lastly, BeWell day provided lunch and swag by our benefit partners. The day was designed to inspire and educate our associates.
Earth Month
Join us in celebrating Earth Day every day! At ATD, sustainability is not just a day or month, it's a way of life. With over 3 million scrap tires needing a better end-of-life outcome, we're committed to making a difference daily. Giving Back at ATD
Our associates put on their running shoes for our 5K for Heroes, benefiting the Gary Sinise Foundation, at the Huntersville Field Support Center! Together, we ran to support our nation's troops, veterans, first responders, and their families. We’re also cheering on our distribution centers and mixing centers as they went on to hold their own 5K events nationwide! This event kicked off our Summer for Heroes campaign. Celebrating AAPI Heritage Month with a delicious feast. Our teams enjoyed a vibrant lunch with flavors from Asia and the Pacific Islands. How did you honor AAPI Month? Join ATD to benefit from this diversity and inclusion celebrations.
